A bit of a Bridal Party Intro...
I'm very glad that you all got your requests safe and sound... for some reason I was freaked out about postage, haha!
I wanted to get everyone acquainted with each other at least somewhat, since some of you are quite far away ;-) So excited!!!
Maid of Honor - Tracy Wells
Obviously I've known her my entire life, she's my sister! Love her and I know she'll be the best maid of honor ever! We've both been through a lot together, from moving all over the area, living in a billion houses, but even though we're different in many ways (even though we're slowly altering her taste in beer, yeah Kira Wit!) we always have the same sense of humor, which is the most important. Thank goodness our boyfriends have a love affair, it means we get to hang out much more. And of course, we'll always have Pretty Little Liars. Love you and so grateful to have you as a sister!
Bridesmaids
Gina Boccella
I've known you since the day you were born, hahah. I'm super glad we've still stayed close all these years, and we've been through so much! From painting our nails on the front steps at Disston St and selling the Disston News door to door, to going to a trillion shows, stalking, driving around in wigs, getting lost driving to almost everywhere in the entire world. You have totally been my partner in crime through so much, and I owe many awesome times to you. Love you sista!
Ashley Haak
You totally know I'm going to kick this off with memories of pickles and grape juice, hahah. I've known you since hanging out at your house on Kerper St. when I was in about second grade. I still remember playing hide and seek with walkie talkies in the snow, playing grape escape (or whatever that was), walking around Roosevelt Mall and recycling cigarettes, and most recently, you making my first time to the west cost the most awesome time ever, and one of my absolute favorite memories. I'm so happy to be a part of your wedding, and so happy to have you be a part of mine! xoxo
Jacquelyn Lyons
My awesome stepsister, who traded in Bensalem for cow tipping in Tennessee. I still don't know how you do it! She did keep her awesome taste in music however, makes me the BEST mix cds and gifts (she made me the most adorable response to my bridesmaid card ever - you are an artist, miss!!) and she's an awesome lady who always cracks me up. Even though you live super far, I'm so glad you're going to be a part of my wedding! Love you!!
Renee Grande
One of my bests from high school, doing all the stuff I STILL can't believe we've done. Sneaking off to Max Myers from the Roller Palace, drinking in random fields, parking lots, and forests, going to your house just to go online and get psychic readings in chat rooms, and Daley's Driveway Crew, of course. I still can't believe we even had our own "tags", wow. But we've grown up to be such awesome ladies despite it all, and I'm so glad we still keep in touch! Xoxo!
Jackie Phy
You're one of the great things that ever came out of me dating Gary, what can I say?? I'm so glad we got to become as close as we have, you're like my balance and I couldn't have gotten through a whole lot of tough times if it weren't for you and your strength pulling me through. I'd like to think it's all because of our daily emails :-) Love you, and so psyched to have you by my side.
Barb Lease
Also one of the great things that came from good old Juliet :-) You're one of my favorite people, always positive and cheerful, optimistic and one of the most thoughtful people I've ever met. I'm so thankful we got to be close, and I was so psyched to be a part of your wedding (which was awesome!) and I'm so happy you agreed to be a part of mine. You are one special lady :-) xoxo
Oh, and Eloise was bummed she didn't make the cut, so I let her be Vanna...

Colors brainstorm
Trying to figure out a wedding color palette... since I work with color allll the time, I didn't realize how hard t his would be. Or maybe I did. Crap.
Matt wants green, and I'm leaning towards a plum-ish color...so I'm liking this combo..
(Disclaimer: These are color inspirations only, I'm not making anyone wear purple vests and turquoise ties! Although that might be fun, haha.)
But I'm also obsessed with turquoise!! I'd love to incorporate that into the palette, even be the color of the dresses, but that might be too bright for fall, hmmm. Maybe an accent of turquoise...
I'm liking the addition of a bright color in there with the pale green and plumish color, I think it'll add contrast to the darker tone of the venue!
Postable!
Was trying to figure out a non-nightmarish way to get everyone's addresses, and came across this, woo!

Venue!
As newly engaged people, natrually the first thing we do is freak out about prices. It felt too early to even begin to think about planning anything, since we're thinking about a date in early October of 2013. I figure once I secure a date and a venue, I'll feel much better!

We have no idea what to expect to spend when planning this whole wedding, and thankfully Renee helped us a bit with that, to get us over the shock. :-) We looked at three venues so far, and pretty much fell in love with Aldie Mansion.
It's a beautiful building, mostly inside with a beautiful courtyard, lots of parking, a bridal suite and groom's quarters, and it's an awesomely gothic style, perfect for October! We've already visited twice, probably mostly for the free wine they give you when you arrive, haha. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is going to be the final pick!!
